Formerly the Quality Hotel, the Chasley is in the very heart of Newcastle's city centre, and therefore couldn't be more conveniently placed for public transport, shops, and nightlife. Looking further afield, both the coast and Gateshead Metro Centre are within five miles. It's a modern and comfortable three-star hotel which has a choice of two bars, but the large (120 seat) rooftop bar and restaurant do offer some striking views across the city. In addition the hotel provides regular live entertainment.

never again!

it was really grotty, the lifts were broken, had to have cold showers in the morning, tho they were hot in the evening. Worst of all was the restaurant - don't order the stir fry - its rice which two chopped up peppers, thats it! It just was not very clean and its daylight robbery that they charge £70 a night. The only positive thing is that the staff were friedly and polite but it could not make up for it being filthy, oh and check out is at 11am - but the maids knocked on my door 3 times before 11am to see if I had vacated - very annoying!!! We also asked not to be next to any stag nights and surprise surprise they were right next door. Its really difficult to locate too, even with sat nav!

oh it was rotten, it really was, gives me the creeps just thinking about it

we would only go back because of the location

The location of the hotel was fab, it was right next to the main shopping area, was a 5 minute walk from the train station and very close to nightlife, However the hotel was very hard to locate. The cleanliness was below average, the place needs a re-decoration.The value was average only because of the location.
