we had a superior Deluxe room with a massive bathroom, marble walk up steps that was magical. set at back of hotel with slight view of Firth of Forth. Service was excellent, get to breakfast not to late and food and buffett wonderful. the deal we got was brilliant. would recommend highly.
04 Jan 2009 | A Yahoo! UserThis is a lovely hotel, newly refurbished BUT has several problems which make it awful! We were put in a room at the front of the hotel. The room itself was smart, however, we were awake from midnight until 4.30 a.m. with the sound of people very noisily leaving the nearby pubs and nightclubs. When we complained to reception they said that 'yes it is a city centre hotel afterall and each weekend the police have to patrol the street and the night porters have to stop drunk young people from trying to enter the hotel'. To add to this problem the room was cold and the breakfast service was very slow. If you go insist on a room at the back of the hotel.
16 Mar 2008 | A Yahoo! Userthe hotel was faultless, although do not accept room 116 as the view from the windows were large metal chimneys from the kitchen which blocked both of the room windows and also made a constant noise, horrendous!
