We stayed at the Midland for a girls weekend. The hotel was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was amazing but the drinks from the bar were just a silly price. And they charge you about £1.50 to serve drinks to your table rather than going to the bar which we only realised on the 4th round. Also we ordered room service after a night out which cost us nearly £100 for simple food!

29 May 2007 | A Yahoo! UserA great surprise. The Midland is no longer run by Crowne Plaza and is in the process of being refurbished. My room was on the top floor, where until recently the cheap attic rooms were past their best, but now they are are clean and modern with good bathrooms, internet access and some hip touches. Location is good and the hotel has places to sit after a meal - unlike the Radisson two doors away! No parking, though.
