(Report Problem)Memphis has great nightlife, food, shopping, and Riverfront. Overton Park is nice. Nice airport and easy to get around. Mud Island is a nice place. Parts of Memphis are really dangerous though.

(Report Problem)BBQ, the Blues, the Mississippi, significant Southern architecture, cultural exhibitions... a fine destination to consider when you're weary of the run-of-the-mill beach vacation. I can't wait to get back to Memphis.

(Report Problem)I spent 4 years in Memphis attending college and have returned for visits since graduating. I just love the atmosphere and southern hospitality of the people of Memphis. The bars are great, the BBQ (and other food) is excellent, attractions are plentiful as well as fun and educational, the music moves ya, and Memphis is so versatile that it appeals to the young and young-at-heart. Don't leave Memphis without visiting Mud Island\\Children's Museum\\Pink Palace, eating at Rendezvous, sampling the night life on Beale Street and checking out Graceland. If you can, it is well worth it to visit Memphis during the "Memphis in May" festival - especially the World Championship BBQ Contest!
