I love Bath and here are my suggestions. For fun try the Bell pub on Walcot street, great character and a dying breed. If you like clubbing try Moles (central) good old fashion fun without hassle. If you like walking try a hike on the toe path to the George Inn (3 miles ish) which is towards Bristol. For Food day time Adventure Cafe, and Retro Cafe altough the latter has ain't as good as it was. For evening... I strongly recomend you book in advance because Bath gets booked up quick. The beaujolais, Queens Sq, Tilleys Garricks Head (by the Theatre and many others are excellent. On a sunday go play in Victora Park and watch the Hot air ballons take off, or pre arrange a flight... later eat at the Wallrus and Carpenter, a wee place with oodles of Character. Don't bother with the Bath Building Museum it's awfull and the staff were snobby with us. Most tourists will try and take in the Royal Crescent and Circus and Jane Austin Museum.

(Report Problem)I have lived near Bath all my life, and even now whenever I have been away I always get excited on my return. Its not even the amzing architecture or the Baths themselves, but the certain ambience that the city exudes. Bath is chilled out, trendy and with amazing one off shops where you can find just about anything, ok so it comes with a price, but its worth it. Because shopping in Bath is an experience in itself, if you want your basics then go to Bristol or the Mall, but if you want a day out then go to Bath. To live in Bath would be ideal but with the popularity of the city prices most locals out of the market, and although the city offers great shopping it does lack in the nightlife. Even so, when it is so close to Bristol you can get the best of both worlds!

(Report Problem)Must sees are the Roman Baths/Museum and the Bath Abbey. Fun to be in the square for the street entertainment (similar to Covent Garden). The scenic Pulteney Bridge has some interesting shops. I recommend the Huntsman Pub for lunch (very near the Roman Baths). It's an easy daytrip from London and can be combined with a visit to Stonehenge.
