This is a fairyland town filled with charm and hospitality. Stay at the Two Sisters Inn bed and breakfast and eat at the Craftwood Inn and Adam's Mountain Cafe and the Keg. Hike in the Garden of the Gods, ride the Cog to the top of Pikes Peak, visit the giraffes at the best Zoo in the country (Cheyenne Mountain Zoo) and explore the Cave of the Winds and the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. Be a kid again and play in one of the most respected classic Arcades in the country. Enjoy live original art theater. But the best part is drinking the naturally carbonated healing waters from the many fountains around Manitou Springs. This little Hippie, Artist and Victorian town is the best.
Great for: Hiking/Camping, History/Culture, Theatre/Music

(Report Problem)Great little town rich in history, and family friendly activities. The scenery is awe-inspiring and peaceful. Perfect place to visit when the city gets a little overwhelming. Unique gifts can be found in the countless little shops. From modern items, true Native American art and crafts, Western style items, to crystals, and handmade candles.

(Report Problem)The atmosphere is awesome! Feels like a small town, but has everything you might need...food, lodging, entertainment. There is something for everyone.

(Report Problem)I really enjoyed my visit. The people were really nice and informative. If you enjoy small gift shops you'll enjoy this area. A bit of advise, if you go during the off season you'll find that the gifts and souvenirs are half the price of what they normally are during the summer.

(Report Problem)Manitou is in a valley right at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The landscape is beautiful!! It is close to the North Pole Park, a great place for the kids, Garden of the Gods, and Old Colorado City. There are several quaint little shops in the downtown area that are great shopping places. They have an outside arcade in the center of downtown and a huge park. It is a wonderful place to visit so if you are going to be in the Colorado Springs area, Manitou is right down Hwy 24 and a place you will not want to miss!

(Report Problem)The tours are wonderful. Our children were able to taste carbonated water right from the spring. Very beautiful and located near many other attractions.

(Report Problem)Manitou Springs is an excellent place for people at all income levels. They have a great arcade in the summer and fun restaurants and shops that are great to look through. It is close to the mountains, and there are several wonderful hinking trails within a short distance.

(Report Problem)I have gone to Colorado Spings many times and my favorite part of the trip to the springs is getting to go to Manitou. I love it and it is a great place to just have fun.

(Report Problem)If you are going to feature a city you could at least write one sentence. Pathetic! Do you actually get paid to put this site together.
